Talent Payment Services Account Manager

Talent Payment Services (TPS) www.talentpayment.com provides comprehensive North American talent payment and associated business affairs services to the advertising industry.

Accuracy and timeliness are essential to compliance with commercial union & non-union payroll requirements.  This is a key, “self-starter” position that requires accuracy, attention to detail, initiative and a pro-active approach to duties and responsibilities and working with colleagues.  Discretion in handling company and private or personal client and employee information is imperative, along with a positive attitude and professional ethics and conduct.

Duties & Tasks

  • Account management, primarily of North American advertising agencies talent payment responsibilities to the performers (union or non-union) they contract
  • Pre-production advice & counsel to clients and negotiating on the clients behalf
  • Processing of session, holding and residual (use) fees
  • Estimating of session and residual (use) fees
  • Guarantee and Residuals tracking
  • Client support for talent contract inquiries, audits, etc. by unions and agents
  • Quality Control of work processed
  • Responsible for meeting all client and union deadlines
  • Consult with and advise clients on union regulations
  • Attend off-site meetings with clients as needed
  • Back-up other Account Managers when required
  • Assist with additional or special tasks or projects as requested

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of advertising talent management and commercial production
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. (Bilingual with English & French is an asset)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with clients, colleagues and staff
  • Positive attitude and outstanding client service skills
  • Professional interaction with executives, colleagues, team members and other staff
  • Skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and ability and willingness to learn new and/or proprietary computer applications as required
  • Organizational skills
  • Flexibility and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Credentials, Experience & Education

  • Minimum Educational requirement: High School Graduate.
  • College business courses or equivalent
  • Work experience preferred
