The Tax Manager is an administrative position that is responsible for preparing, processing, and analyzing income tax for the Team Companies and its share holders. This is a mid-career level position that requires analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with initiative and a pro-active approach to tasks, responsibilities, and working with outside service providers to ensure critical timelines are met. In addition, this role will handle key communication to the shareholders with regards to tax returns. Discretion in handling confidential company information is required, along with professional ethics, appearance and conduct.

Duties & Tasks

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

 Oversee preparation, review and filing of federal and multi-state income tax returns for partnership LLCs.
 Analyze and prepare quarterly tax provisions and make corresponding quarterly estimated tax payments on-time.
 Establish and maintain a tax calendar with critical deadlines and coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met.
 Oversee and coordinate the preparation of R&D Tax credit.
 Review and prepare transfer pricing analysis.
 Perform basic accounting and tax entries to support the preparation and maintainenance of a separate tax ledger
 Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and income tax returns for LLCs, S Corporations.
 Proficient with tax research and drafting of accounting/tax memos. Research and respond to various tax topics and inquiries from state and other governmental agencies.
 Coordinate with and oversee external tax providers to ensure accuracy of deliverables and deadlines are met.
 Prompt communication with Accounting, Treasury, Legal and other relevant functions within the organization informed of any relevant changes and impact of tax related topics.
 Strong interpersonal skills to communicate various tax related topics to management and shareholders in a timely and effective manner; ability to communicate clearly and concisely with various tax agencies, management, colleagues, and staff.
 Strong time-management, decision-making, and organizational skills.
 Attention to detail, analytical skills; Excellent organization and communication skills.
 Knowledge of tax software and MS Office applications
 Perform special tasks or projects as requested.

Credentials, Experience & Education

 Minimum 5 years experience with income tax multi-state filings for LLC, S-Corps
 Experience with Canadian tax filing and requirements is a plus
 Big four or large regional firm experience, a plus.
 Minimum Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Tax or Finance.
 CPA (preferred)
 Advanced degree in Taxation preferred.
