Clerk – Payroll Print/Production – Burbank

Great opportunity in a dynamic office with excellent potential for growth!  TEAM provides payroll services to the advertising and electronic games industries.  The Payroll Clerk is an administrative support position that is responsible for maintaining office filing, assisting with payroll invoicing, and internal as well as client follow-up.  This is an associate level position that requires analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, an aptitude for numbers, multi-tasking and quality client service skills. The ideal candidate is a “self-starter” with initiative and a pro-active approach to tasks, responsibilities and working with colleagues, the ability and willingness to learn new skills and tasks, and experience with advertising talent payroll.  Discretion in handling company and client information is required, along with professional ethics, appearance and conduct.

Duties & Tasks

  • Maintain department filing systems
  • Data entry
  • Assist with electronic and paper file maintenance, contract preparation, and distribution of invoices
  • Provide support for office operations and general client service needs as directed
  • Assist with performing integrity checks of the electronic system
  • Perform additional or special tasks or projects as requested
  • Assist with support for incoming phone calls and inquiries as needed
  • Attend trainings as instructed and learn payroll billing including wage and hour law and entertainment industry union contracts and applicable rules for payroll

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic office skills and abilities, knowledge of standard office equipment including phones, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, and ability and willingness to learn new and/or proprietary computer applications as required
  • Interact with colleagues, team members and other department staff as well as management and executives in a professional office setting
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of production and/or advertising industry
  • Knowledge of government and entertainment industry requirements for payroll- preferred
  • Minimum typing/keyboarding of 50 words per minute
  • Organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Flexibility and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Interested in learning about entertainment industry payroll

Credentials, Experience & Education

  • Minimum education requirement:  High School Graduate
  • Minimum two years of college preferred
