Account Manager – TPS – Canada

Job Location(s):  Toronto

Talent Payment Services (TPS), one of The TEAM Companies, pays union and non-union performers acting in commercials and other marketing content. This is a key, “self-starter” position that requires extreme accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness, all of which are essential to compliance with union payroll requirements. Taking a pro-active approach to duties and responsibilities and working with colleagues is key.  Discretion in handling company and private/personal client and employee information is required, along with a positive attitude, professional ethics, appearance, and conduct.

Duties & Tasks

  • Processing of session contracts, residuals, holding and use fees
  • Estimating of sessions and residuals
  • Client follow-up on Guarantee, Dormancy and Residuals tracking
  • Client support for talent contract inquiries, audits, etc. by unions and agents
  • Verification of payment entries
  • Responsible for meeting all client and union deadlines
  • Consult with, and advise, clients on union regulations
  • Attend off-site meetings with clients as needed
  • Back-up other staff members with payroll (union and non-union) and assist or fill in for colleagues when required
  • Assist with additional or special tasks or projects as requested (this would be after learning systems and procedures)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of Advertising Talent
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; Bilingual (English/French) an asset
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately with clients, colleagues and staff
  • Positive attitude and outstanding client service skills
  • Professional interaction with colleagues, team members and other department staff as well as management and executives in a business office setting
  • PC Computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and ability and willingness to learn new and/or proprietary computer applications as required
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and ability to multi-task well under pressure

Credentials, Experience & Education

  • Experience working with Canadian performer unions (ACTRA & UDA)
  • College business courses or equivalent work experience preferred
