Account Manager – Production Payroll – New York

The TEAM Companies’ Production Payroll Department manages the payment of union and non-union crew, visual effects artists, game designers, editors working on commercials, print ads, online content, video games and other short-form content.  As the employer of record on behalf of our clients, TTC takes accuracy and timeliness of the utmost importance to ensure compliance. The Account Manager works directly with clients, setting up projects, processing payroll and issuing client invoices within the company’s 48-hour turn-around time frame.  This is a key “team-player” position that requires precision to quality and a pro-active approach to responsibilities and working with colleagues.  TTC Account Manager must exercise discretion in handling company, client, and employee information. A positive attitude, professional ethics, appearance and conduct are also required.

Duties & Tasks

  • Work directly with clients and payroll team to set-up projects, review payroll documents, process and verify payroll
  • Accurate processing of payroll within company’s 48-hour turn-around time frame
  • Provide client support regarding collective bargaining agreements, federal and state labor laws, and audits
  • Perform administrative duties including payroll system data maintenance and filing
  • Calculate and verify payroll wages according to union regulations and federal and state labor laws among various states
  • Back-up colleagues when required due to their absence or workload balance
  • Assist with special tasks or projects as requested
  • Assist management with the development and enhancement of operating systems
  • Resolve incoming client or production employee inquiries via phone and email
  • Contribute to a positive team environment

 

Administration & Support

  • Maintain employee information as needed
  • Work with clients and internal payroll team to gather payroll documents and information necessary for processing
  • Follow-up with production employees to clarify information as necessary
  • Distribute invoices to clients
  • Assist with accounting aspects of payroll, billing and client payments
  • Review unapplied receipts
  • Request refunds
  • Prepare and distribute overpayment/recoupment notices
  • Generate check requests for signatories
  • Collaborate with business analysts in the continued payroll system enhancement
  • Uphold constant communication between client needs and company policy

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic office skills and ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Positive attitude and outstanding client service skills
  • Knowledge of current federal and state labor laws
  • Experience with commercial collective bargaining agreements preferred
  • PC Computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and willing to learn new computer applications
  • Flexible multitasker who can work well under pressure
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management, staff and clients

Credentials, Experience & Education

  • Minimum education requirement: High School Graduate
  • College business courses or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum two years’ work experience required in advertising or entertainment industry
