The TEAM Companies’ Production Payroll Department manages the payment of union and non-union crew, visual effects artists, game designers, editors working on commercials, print ads, online content, video games and other short-form content.  The Account Manager works directly with clients, sets up projects in TTC’s payroll system, processes payroll and issues client invoices within the company’s 48-hour turn-around time frame. This is a key “team-player” position that requires accuracy and a pro-active approach to responsibilities and working with colleagues. TTC Account Managers must exercise discretion in handling company, client, and employee information. A positive attitude, professional ethics, appearance and conduct are also required.

Duties & Tasks

  • Work directly with clients and internal payroll teams to set-up projects, review payroll documents, process and verify payroll
  • Accurate processing of payroll within company’s 48-hour turn-around time frame
  • Provide client support regarding collective bargaining agreements of the DGA, IATSE and Teamsters, federal and state labor laws, and audits
  • Maintain employer and employee data in the payroll system as well as digital and physical filing of key documents
  • Calculate and verify payroll wages according to union regulations and federal and state labor laws
  • Back-up colleagues when required due to their absence or workload balance
  • Assist with special tasks or projects as requested
  • Assist management and I.T. with the development and enhancement of operating systems and software applications
  • Resolve incoming client or production employee inquiries via phone and email
  • Contribute to a positive team environment

Administration & Support

  • Maintain employee information as needed
    • Work with clients and internal payroll team to gather payroll documents and information necessary for processing
    • Follow-up with production employees to clarify information as necessary
  • Assist with accounting aspects of payroll, billing and client payments
    • Review unapplied receipts
    • Request refunds
    • Prepare and distribute overpayment/recoupment notices
    • Generate check requests for signatories

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic office skills and ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Positive attitude and outstanding client service skills
  • Knowledge of current federal and state labor laws
  • Experience with commercial collective bargaining agreements (DGA, IATSE & Teamsters) preferred
  • Computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and willingness to learn new computer applications
  • Flexible multi-tasker who can work well under pressure
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with all levels of management, staff and clients

Credentials, Experience & Education

  • Minimum education requirement: High School Graduate
  • College business courses or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum of two years’ work experience required in the advertising or entertainment industry
